Gothic Chic with an Edge!

I have written about Punk Rave before but how on Earth can I stop if they keep designing such gorgeous items as in the last range? I was simply overwhelmed with the design and details they put into their latest garments. I would love to visit their design headquarters one day and meet the lovely people who put hours and hours of work just into one jacket. The prices do seem a bit high but these items are made to last. If you own items by this brand or have seem some of them live in shops, you will agree with me. The only downside to this brand is that customers outside Asia need to pay close attention to the size chart! The sizing is Asian since they are an Asian brand which means that you will need to go usually a size or two up so they match the EU/US sizing standards. The size chart can be found on the shop's website. The outfit pictured below is the perfect mix of Gothic elegance and Vampy-edginess! The velvet goes beautifully with sheer lace leggings and a lace skirt. Add a few accessories and you are dressed perfectly from head to toe in Gothy-Aristocrat splendour!

My favourite item from the latest  Punk Rave range is the Calypso jacket! Autumn is creeping round the corner and the weather in Europe is getting chillier by the hour. Velvet jackets are my favourite but this takes Victorian elegance to the next level. The Calypso jacket is fully lined and has a deep V-shaped neckline. It is made from thick, high-quality black velvet that features a jacquard pattern. It is closed with 3 gorgeous antique silver clasps and has delicate lace along the hem and flaring from the cuffs. The cuffs are additionally adorned with black roses. You can basically wear anything underneath but it looks gorgeous with a Gothic top such as the Zipper top by RQ-BL because it features stunning details that can be seen underneath the jacket due to its deep, V-shaped neckline. The jacket would go beautifully with a long Gothic skirt but I prefer leggings and shorter skirts. The Narcissa leggings have lace details that match the Love Lace skirt beautifully. This skirt is made from high-quality crochet lace and is completely see-through! It is a must-have for all the legging-fans who always wear something over them such as I do :)

There are so many accessories that would suit this outfit but I love to add something that almost completely matches the fabrics of the outfit. The Calypso choker even has the same name as the jacket and has all of its features too. This gorgeous Gothic choker is made from black lace and jacquard. It can be closed by poppers down the right side and by adjustable corset-lacing at the back. It is adorned with crochet lace and black roses at the front.  Fantasmagoria has cute wristbands such as the Freya one which features corset-style lacing and suits the rest of the outfit perfectly. Rings are obviously a must and one of my favourites are by the brand The Rogue + The Wolf.  I chose the Moonchase Black Raven ring for this look as you cannot go wrong with Ravens!
