The way of cog and steam

We’ve been on a bit of a steampunk and gaslight fantasy binge the past few weeks. We’ve been daydreaming about clockwork mechanisms and dirigibles, about high tea way up in balloons and strange experiments on stormy nights. And while the running joke is that steampunk is what happens when goths discover the colour brown, we decided to put together some steampunk inspired goth sets, perfect for all your steampunk desires. It doesn't all have to be brown and brass - we went with black as our main colour, and added the, by now traditional, steampunk details as accents.

We’re starting with Wanderlust, for the lady who isn’t afraid to step out of her comfort zone. It features a long skirt, a lace blouse and a bag for all your urban exploration needs!

Of course, some love adventure more than others, and so we created the Airship Pirate set with a commanding looking corset, a waterfall style skirt and a handy pouch. Of course, we added some stylish accessories. After all, you are a pirate queen!

The Diplomat takes a different route. A lady of fine breeding and keen observational skills, she is as charming she is dangerous, and her large rose ring is sure to help her dispose of any unwelcome rivals.

Defender is just a fancy word for bodyguard in this case, and this gun for hire lady combines feminine elegance with the ability to kick some serious butt! Just like the Victorians themselves, we drew inspiration from the military fashion of the time, most noticeable in the jacket, while the corset itself is inspired by a men’s vest of the time.

As always, you can check out all outfit details on our polyvore site!
